Toronto is home to Canada’s the largest and most diverse concentration of nonprofit organizations—a collective force that translates into $14 Billion in annual revenue and over 8% of Toronto’s GDP. While our shared impact is profound, historically, cross-sector collaboration has been limited.
In 2019, 19 diverse nonprofit organizations came together to develop a city-wide network of nonprofits known as the Toronto Nonprofit Network (TNN). We exist to bring the diverse voices of the city’s nonprofit sector to government, funders, and business to create and influence systemic change. To date, over 300 nonprofit organizations, representing a wide range of sector including social services, arts and culture, health, education, and sports and recreation have indicated an interest in working together as a sector.
Announcing our New TNN Director: David Simor
In December 2020, we began an extensive hiring process for a new full-time TNN Director to lead the network's growth and development. After reviewing many qualified applications, the hiring committee is pleased to now appoint David Simor to the role. An experienced project manager and leader in the nonprofit sector for the past nine years, we are excited to have David help launch this new phase of growth for TNN.
